2010 Rule Changes and Updates
ART: 4-1(a): Those players, who are 9 years old as of July 31st of the current year, meet the weight requirement of ART: 4-1, and enrolled in the third grade, may elect to participate on a Minor Division Team.
ART: 4-4(a): Those players, who are 11 years old as of July 31st of the current year, meet the weight requirement of ART: 4-4, and enrolled in the fifth grade, may elect to participate on a Major Junior Varsity Division Team.
(Weigh-In and Player Weights)
SR-4: All weights must be recorded using an official TCYFL scale. The current season's Jamboree is designated as the official weigh-in place and date. Players' weight, who weigh more than the ball carrying weight designated for said player's division, will be recorded by a TCYFL board member. Players who weigh less than or equal to the ball carrying weight designated for said player's division will be recorded as having been officially weighed, no official weight will be recorded. There will be no additional weigh-in, unless deemed necessary under special circumstance via the TCYFL board, during the current season.
SR-5: Weights determined at the official weigh-in are determined by a league official scale only. The weight printed in the TCYFL season program, with exception of typographical errors, will be considered the players official weight for the entire season. Head coaches should be sensitive to excessive weight gain by players. For the senior teams there is no maximum weight. Any player who does not get officially weighed may not play in any game.
ART: 5-1: Obsolete via SR-4.A second official playoff weigh-in will be required by those players who qualified as a ball carrier and were within 5 pounds or less of the requirements in ART: 4-2, ART: 4-3, ART: 4-5, ART: 4-6, ART: 4-8, ART: 4-9, ART: 4-11, ART: 4-12, ART: 4-14, and ART: 4-15 at the official regular season weigh-in. Weights to be determined by a league official scale only. Weights will be taken before the start of the first official playoff game. A 5 pound allowance will be given to the Minor and Major Junior Varsity Division players. A 10 pound allowance will be given to the Major Varsity, Senior Junior Varsity, and Senior Varsity Divisions. Any player that does not have an official playoff weigh-in or fails to meet the weight requirements may not align as, or by shift become, an eligible pass receiver, running back, or quarterback and shall align on defense on the line of scrimmage inside the free blocking zone.
(Running Clock)
ART 13-1: A running clock does not stop except for the following. The running clock will be stopped for the PAT attempt and restarted with the start of the next play following the PAT attempt. The running clock will be stopped to tend to injuries. At least one minute must run off the clock prior to stopping the clock due to injury. At anytime the game referee may stop a running clock, especially when the game referee is keeping the official time.
