Thurston County Youth Football League (TCYFL done)

TCYFL is a 501C3 Non Profit organization that delivered competitive tackle football in Thurston County for over 30 years. Children must be between 7 and 13 years of age to be eligible. Team Franchises comprise multiple teams organized by age group accompanied by cheer teams. Franchises can have any number of teams depending on turn out and practice field availability. Franchise districts are “aligned” with high schools to keep children together who will attend the same high school. This also allows programs to teach football techniques that compliment their respective high school programs. TCYFL enforces maximum team size and minimum playing time standards with the goal that all participants have fun and want to return the next year. Above all we want the experience to build character in our youth while delivering a positive family experience.

Values we want to teach:

Hard work and discipline
Teamwork
Fair Play, Sportsmanship
Respect for self and others
Perseverance
Having fun!

Behaviors we won’t tolerate:

Vulgar Language.
Abuse of officials
Ridicule of players by parents and coaches
Inappropriate coaching styles
Temper tantrums by coaches

To monitor behaviors a Field Marshall will be present at each game. The Field Marshall will have a Sportsmanship Citation Form. A citation can be filed by anyone against a coach, parent, or spectator. If you feel someone has displayed unsportsmanlike conduct or behavior, file a citation with the Field Marshall. Upon filing a citation you will be contacted by a review board member and asked to review the situation. If the citation is warranted, the review board will take action.
